Cale Kassen, a sophomore at Lee University in Tennessee, finished runner-up in the men's decathlon final with a lifetime-best 7,579 points at the NCAA Division 2 Championships at Francis G. Welch Stadium at Emporia State University in Kansas. Kassen improved by a 173-point margin from his first career decathlon in March at Lee University to elevate to the No. 25 all-time decathlete in Division 2.
